Eligibility Criteria

The GPA requirements for each category are as follows:

• Category 1: Freshers in their first semester must possess a minimum overall high school GPA of 3.5 on their High School transcript
• Category 2: Returning students through graduate students must possess a cumulative 3.0 GPA on the most recent transcript
• Category 3: Needs Based: All college (including graduate) students. Possess a cumulative 2.0 GPA on the most recent transcript

Expectation from Candidates

For all categories:

• Fill out the application form, including a personal statement and a short essay on the benefits of attending Platform
• Submit a Personal Statement
• Applications must be submitted by 31st of October, 2024
• Must not have been awarded the Raji Oke-Esa Foundation scholarship in the last four years except those who receive awards as freshmen

The additional requirements for applicants in each category are as follows:

• Category 1: College Freshers
  • Write an essay on a chosen topic (See form for prompt)
• Category 2: College sophomores through graduate students
  • Submit two letters of recommendation, from a professor/lecturer at their current institution and a senior member of your community
• • • Submit two letters of recommendation from a professor/lecturer at their current institution and a senior member of the community
    • Submit a financial aid award letter from their colleges/universities.Category 3: Needs-based
  • Provide a brief statement about their financial need and what they would use the award for.
